Prakriti is a series of 7 yoga and nature camps running through the summer of 2026. Real practices. Real tools. Taught in a language children actually understand.
There is a particular kind of exhaustion that many children carry today — and rest alone doesn't fix it. They are overstimulated, under-rested, and rarely given space to just be still. Screens have replaced stillness. Busyness has replaced genuine play.
Every now and then, they need somewhere that slows things right down. Somewhere they can move, breathe, get their hands in the soil, and remember what it feels like to be genuinely present.
"Many children today are tired but unable to wind down, quick to frustration and slow to calm — carrying anxiety they don't yet have language for. Prakriti is designed for exactly this child."
At Prakriti, we keep our circles small with intention. Upa yoga camps are gently held with 10–12 children, while Angamardana and Surya Shakti are offered in even more intimate groups of just 6. Because this is not just a camp — it is a space where each child is truly seen, personally guided, and allowed to grow in their own unique way.
Beyond 'playing outside,' we teach children how to observe, listen, and harmonise with the natural world.
We teach classical Hatha Yoga simplified for young bodies, focusing on posture, breath, and focus — not just fun games. Real practices that children carry with them long after camp ends.
Friendships formed in silence and shared activity go deeper than those built on digital entertainment. The Prakriti community continues well beyond the final day of camp.
A dynamic, energising practice that builds real physical strength, stamina, and coordination in children. These are more active weeks. Children who attend Surya Shakti camps often surprise themselves with what their bodies are capable of by the end of the week.
Gentler and deeply grounding. Upa Yoga works with the joints, breath and nervous system in a way that even the most restless child finds surprisingly calming. Paired with Thoppukaranam, balancing practices and breathing work, these camps help children develop a relationship with stillness.
Angamardana is an intensive strength-building practice designed for children 8+. This dynamic practice develops real physical strength, endurance, and body awareness. Paired with cooking sessions and balancing practices, children build confidence alongside their physical capabilities.
We don't just entertain. We equip. Every child leaves Prakriti with a mental and physical toolkit they can access during exams, stressful social situations, or whenever they need to find their centre.
Simple techniques to lower cortisol levels and reset the nervous system in seconds — anytime, anywhere.
Mental exercises that improve attention span and the ability to focus on singular tasks, even in a noisy world.
A body that is flexible and strong creates a mind that is resilient and adaptable. Children feel the difference.
Understanding the direct link between what we eat and how we feel — a lesson that stays with them for life.
At Prakriti, one of the most meaningful parts of our camps is gently shaping how children relate to food. In a world filled with packaged choices and quick bites, we bring their attention back to something simple yet very needed - The real food.
Through conversations, small experiments, and presentations, children begin to understand where their food comes from, what it does to their body and mind, and why it deserves their attention and gratitude. We introduce them to the value of pausing before a meal, of being present, and of recognizing food not just as something to consume, but something to respect.
They also begin to notice the difference between real food and food products, learning in a very natural, age-appropriate way how to make more conscious choices.
Because beyond habits, we hope to leave them with something deeper — a sense of connection, respect, and responsibility towards what they eat.
